Male and female available puppies
Please carefully consider the following points before adopting.
Is an Australian Shepherd Right for Your Family?
- Time & Energy Matter: Aussies are active, smart, and need daily training and engagement.
- Young Kids + Puppies: Not the best mix—puppies can be too energetic for very young children and already busy parents.
- Best Timing:
Before kids: Raising your Aussie a couple of years before children arrive can work really well.
After kids start school, you’ll have more time for training while they’re in class.
- Kids Need Guidance Too: Teach children to be calm and respectful around dogs—Aussies have natural herding instincts.
- Training is Key: A well-trained Aussie listens, plays well with others, and stays focused on you instead of distractions
Think Long-Term. Choosing the right time avoids problems later and ensures your Aussie becomes a beloved, lifelong companion.
